About Banks;
I’m a proud Barrangam, Kamilaroi woman.
My story is one of strength, resilience, and deep love for my culture.
I lost my mother at six years old due to mental health struggles and spent much of my youth moving from house to house, never quite knowing where I belonged.
Before my marriage, I survived a domestic violent relationship — an experience that shaped my strength and fuels my desire to inspire hope for other women.
I also made the life-changing decision to become sober over five years ago. That choice gave me the clarity and stability I needed to heal, grow, and become the mother, wife, and businesswoman I am today.
Today, I am a proud mother of two sons, raising them with a proud Gomeroi man and grounded in culture, family, and Country.
My journey hasn’t been easy, but it’s filled with purpose, pride, and gratitude.
Everything I create through Banksia Nean carries that story. A story of survival, love, and the power of culture.
